PointBridge & AvePoint Present: Best Practices for Managing SharePoint Content & Structure
Overview
As SharePoint deployments grow in both scale and scope, administrators frequently need to reorganize the platform’s content topology in order to optimize system resources and accelerate end-user productivity. Often lists need to be relocated, sites need to be moved, site collections need to be demoted and promoted, and items need to be transferred to other sites or farms. To reduce platform management costs and provide for unfettered scalability, Administrators must be able to perform these activities with speed and precision. To ensure business continuity and optimal productivity, these tasks must be performed in a manner that preserves all business-critical metadata.
This presentation will introduce best practices for the management, movement, and re-organization of various SharePoint content types and elements. After analyzing SharePoint’s native abilities, we will review how DocAve Content Manager can provide administrators with the flexible and comprehensive control they require to maintain a totally optimized and efficiently managed SharePoint platform.
