The Meriter and PointBridge teams partnered to implement Microsoft Business Intelligence and SharePoint 2010 to integrate with their Epic Electronic Medical Records system.
As an Epic user for their EMR system, Meriter made a strategic decision to implement SharePoint 2010 to give them additional flexibility and integrate reporting services to better deliver dashboards directly to the SharePoint environment. Now they are able to maintain only a few 100 reports and minimize user requests. PointBridge built out an information architecture to allow many different user groups to access the data easily and efficiently. PointBridge's user experience team created a logical taxonomy and navigation, but also a look and feel that made the user better able to access and find information. The Microsoft Business Intelligence stack now pulls information from data sources such as Epic and Lawson, and they can now support requests from other business units.
End results are a decrease in costs, increased efficiency across the organization, and ability to locate relevant information and data quickly.
